Designers at Simplistic work on a diverse range of projects, from first time websites for startups to complete redesigns for established brands.

As a Senior Web Designer, you’ll be responsible for strategizing, planning and executing designs that solve problems for our clients. In addition to creating compelling visual experiences, you’ll be responsible for crafting intuitive user experiences through wire-framing, mapping user flows and navigation, creating compelling micro interactions, and advising clients on photography/video needs to bring your concepts to life.

Together with our Strategy, Insights and Optimization Team, you’ll lead design discovery and presentation meetings and present the “Why” behind all design decisions.

Key Functional Responsibilities

• Co-lead research and discovery phases with our Strategy, Insights and Optimization team
• Create user personas, user journeys, content outlines and navigation guides
• Ideate and execute compelling design concepts that meet the client’s business goals, audience and industry
• Design prototypes in Sketch or Figma
• Maintain high standards in the work created and ensure only the best work is shared with clients
• Review developed pages for design integrity
• Advise clients on industry best practices when appropriate
• Coordinate with our Director of Insights and Optimizations on specific, high-stakes A/B test designs
• Work with Simplistic management team to improve overall design process

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in a UI/UX role, specifically for eCommerce (eCommerce agency or in-house designer for an eCommerce company)
• Experience in a client-facing role
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Sketch or Figma
• Experience leading design teams is a plus, but not required
• Experience with Health & Beauty, Home Goods or Jewelry companies is a plus
• Experience working with Revenue Optimization (CRO) teams is a plus
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
