ELLKAY LLC is looking for a UI/UX / Web Graphic Designer with strong experience and a proven track record of designing and building high quality user interfaces and user experiences for websites and enterprise applications.

This position will contribute to the overall look and feel of the company brand website, graphics, and software solutions. This role requires problem solving and creative thinking skills to understand healthcare IT products, generate fresh, modern ideas and be able to work in a variety of styles to communicate product and overall brand messaging.

Key Areas of Responsibility include (but not limited to)

• Create mobile-friendly web design templates and produce PSD web design files
• Graphic design & vector illustrations
• Contribute to a successful UI/UX design strategy for marketing website as well as software applications
• Plan and implement new designs
• Optimize and improve on existing user interface designs
• Combine creativity with an awareness of design principles and brand identity
• Translate requirements into user flows, wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences
• Facilitate product visions by researching, conceiving, wireframing, sketching, prototyping, and mocking up user experiences for digital products
• Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys and mock-ups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
• Defining interaction models, user task flows, and UI (user interface) specifications
• Identify design problems and devise intuitive, elegant solutions
• Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core and new functions and features
• Take a user-center design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs
• Collaborate with product marketing, graphic design, product management, and other teams and stakeholders
• Conduct usability testing for products
• Conduct competitor and customer analysis to assess out UX/UI vis-a-vis our competition

Technologies:

• Excellent skill level in Adobe Creative Suite range of products including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, etc.
• Expertise in UX software such as Axure, Balsamiq and similar
• Experience working with HTML5, CSS3
• Experience with JIRA for requirement and issue tracking preferred
• JavaScript, related scripting knowledge preferred

• The ideal candidate is an independent, hands-on, energetic team member, ability to deliver quality work. There will be a strong focus on meeting business needs through detailed understanding of user requirements and effective and accurate implementation of specifications.
• Knowledge of Usability Factors in Human Computer Interaction

This is a full-time position at our HQ located in Elmwood Park, NJ. Remote work may be available.
