Buzzbizz Media is looking to add another front-end Web designer/developer to help create and administer a wide variety of custom websites to our team. The perfect candidate is someone who can be a "utility player" and handle a variety of duties for our team. On any given day, you might be running WordPress core or plugin updates, troubleshooting an email or website form problem, looking up DNS records on a domain, adding a new Analytics account, or troubleshooting a javascript error on a website.

More about the job:

Creating websites: You will be working with our Marketing and Graphic Design departments, to create custom WordPress websites. You will be given a graphical proof of a website or work from pre-determined templates, along with a set of instructions on what kinds of animations and interactivity to be provided with the content.

Administering Websites: You will be tasked with content fixes on our current client websites, along with any bug fixes and feature additions.

Applicant needs to have a familiarity with Adobe software. You should feel comfortable talking to clients about technical issues, though most client interactions are handled by the Marketing/Sales team.

We are looking for a team player who absolutely loves WordPress, HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS. We want to make websites for local small businesses that are so good, it makes national websites jealous.

Required Skills: 1. HTML, CSS, PHP, WordPress: Minimum 3 years or intermediate level.
Must understand WP file and directory structure, how to make child themes, be comfortable working with a variety of themes and plugins including page builders. Must have experience using browser developer tools and doing website migrations.

2. Javascript and jQuery: Intermediate level.

Must be able to troubleshoot problems with javascript errors on existing websites.

3. WHM/cPanel: Good working knowledge.

Must be able to edit DNS records, create accounts, troubleshoot email issues.
4. Google assets (Analytics, GTM, GSC, GMB): Good working knowledge.

Must have some knowledge of basic SEO principles and best practices.
Preferred Skills:

- Experience with PHP Programming

- Experience with Swift Mailer
